Col. 2:7 says, "Having been rooted and being built up in Him, and being established in the faith even as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving." As you start your college career, it is important to continue in your walk with the Lord and to become further grounded in your faith. The various teachings and group times are focused on enjoying the Lord and knowing Him in His Word. They are designed to provide you with a firm foundation for your time at college.
The Bible reveals that the Christian race is not meant to be run alone. Paul says we should flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace WITH THOSE who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. (2 Tim 2:22). Ecclesiastes also reveals the need for companions. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 say, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor; For if they fall, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls and does not have another to lift him up!" At Freshmen Connect you will meet other freshmen like you with whom you can flee and pursue like it says in 2 Tim. In addition to students your age, you will meet and get to know older students and Christian mentors who are all eager to run the race with you and help you along the way.
Many people are constantly asking the question, "What is the meaning of life?" All mankind is longing for a sense of purpose in his or her life because, as Ecc 3:11 states, "God placed eternity in man's heart..."As Christians, we can know the answer to these questions as revealed in God's Word. God has a very definite, clear plan, and you as a man are at the very center of it. Hear what the Bible has to say about what God has been doing throughout history, as never seen before in the Word-only at Freshmen Connect.
